Hello,

My name is Toni Smith and I am the CEO of Premier Health Care, LLC in  Bartlett, TN. We are a home health agency in Bartlett and we have been in the area for over thirteen years. Upon the onset of COVID-19 I witnessed people in the Memphis Downtown area standing outside of a local church waiting to be fed. At first I didn't know why there were people outside of the church on a Saturday afternoon with grocery baskets and old clothing strewn across them. My husband and I decided to circle back around the area. We later saw those same people get into a single file line. There were other people dressed in white smocks who carried trays of what appeared to have been food. Still curios we circled around the block again. Sure enough there were people walking from inside the church carrying bread and other food items and they began to feed those who were in line. At that very moment I turned to my husband and said, " We need to give back NOW! The cakes I bake and candles I make are going to help feed a hungry family. This could be any one of us standing in that line waiting to be fed." We were both moved by the realization that the Pandemic could prove devastating to anyone. It has no regard for race, ethnic background or financial status. People were losing their jobs and their homes and the lives of their loved ones. I immediately started baking my cakes. Some were specialty cakes and others your run of the mill cakes your grandmother used to bake. We called them "Pattie Cakes" after my late mother Patricia. We donated 100% of the proceeds to the Union Mission. This year we have added my candles, body butters and fragrance sprays. The line of candles, body butters and fragrance sprays is T K Collections which means "THANKFUL KIND" we have now moved the cakes and candles under the same umbrella. With the help of the Lord we hope help to feed as many families as possible.
